A Bit About Me
My name is Jack Hilton I am an English Literature Major at Mississippi College with a minor in Writing. Before I came to Mississippi College I was enrolled at Blue Mountain College and played for the Baseball team there. Which is how I found my passion for baseball and literature are not so separate because they both embody who you are when you are playing or writing.
Personal Section
My goals are to become a teacher and be able to help youth in my local area of Brandon to learn and enjoy english not just as a subject in the class, but as a way of life. Another one of my goals is that I would like to be a baseball coach at Brandon High school due to my passion for the sport. My last goal is to help my fiance by working with her to take care of her Animal Clinic in anyway that I can.
Projects
The first paper is about women in power in the play Antony and Cleopatra and discusses the importance of keeping calm and not allowing yourself to be manipulate and abused by someone that you think you can trust. As well as a compare and contrast between Cleopatra and Queen Elizabeth. The second paper is a revised version of the paper. The third paper is a look at frogs inside of Who Will Run the Frog Hospital and dissecting how frogs while they are in the title play a small, but important role in the book. The fourth paper is looking at myth in the Prose Edda and making sense of the creation story that can be quite perplexing at times.
